Woodmoor Neighborhood Tour

I help busy Maryland professionals maximize their returns on real estate sales with ease.

Have you heard of the Woodmoor neighborhood in Silver Spring? If not, have you heard of Four Corners?

Four Corners is the intersection of Colesville Rd and University Blvd. The shopping plaza at that intersection is, in fact, called the Woodmoor Shopping Plaza and is our local spot for Starbucks, CVS, and Chipotle. One of my favorite sandwich shops is Santucci’s Deli, which is run by a local family. I recommend the pre-made baked ziti for a quick “homemade” dinner. The Pocket Watch is also a great shop. They helped me get my grandfather clock working again.

Woodmoor was built in the 1930s and covers houses from Colesville Rd (29) on the west to Northwest Branch Park to the north to the Capital Beltway to the east, and University Blvd (193) to the south.

The median real estate price is currently ~$850,000 and the average rental is ~$3727/month. You will mostly find medium and large size 3-4 bedroom single family homes and some apartment complexes.

While Woodmoor is walkable for some things, you will likely still rely on a car to get around.

Schools: Pine Crest Elementary, Montgomery Knolls Elementary, Eastern Middle and Montgomery Blair High.

Transit: Bus routes along University Boulevard and Colesville Road. Woodmoor is about three miles from the Silver Spring and Forest Glen stations on Metro’s Red Line.
